Privacy & data

Last updated: July 12, 2026

The short version: no cookies, no accounts, no ad trackers, no analytics scripts in your browser. I see two kinds of numbers: anonymous play-click counts (a tally per game, nothing about you), and aggregate traffic stats from my host, Netlify — totals only, never individual visitors.

Play-click counts

When you click a play link, your browser sends the game's id (like hextris) to this site's own server, which adds one to that game's tally. That's the entire event. No cookie, no IP address, no timestamp, no device info — nothing is stored that could connect a click to a person, so there's no way for me to know who clicked, only how often each game gets played. I use it for one thing: learning which games people actually enjoy, so I can curate better.

You can opt out: if your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal or has Do Not Track enabled, the site doesn't count your clicks at all.

Your filter settings

The filters and view you pick are saved in your own browser's local storage so the page remembers them next visit. That data never leaves your device, and clearing your browser data wipes it.

The report and submit forms

If you report a listing or submit a game, I receive exactly what you type into the form — nothing else, and no email address is required. Forms are processed by Netlify (this site's host), so submissions live in Netlify's form inbox until I act on them and delete them.

Hosting and traffic stats

The site runs on Netlify. Like nearly every host, Netlify keeps short-lived server logs (which include IP addresses) for security and operations under its own privacy policy.

I do use Netlify Analytics, which builds aggregate traffic stats from those same server logs — things like total pageviews, which pages get visited, and which sites people arrive from (for example, "120 visits came from a Facebook link"). It runs entirely on Netlify's servers: no analytics script in your browser, no cookies, no tracking pixels. I only ever see totals — there are no individual visitor profiles, and I can't see who anyone is. The "where people arrive from" part comes from the referrer your own browser sends when you follow a link to this site; if your browser is set not to send referrers, you're simply not counted in that stat.

Fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees the font request your browser makes but receives no other data from this site.

When you leave to play a game

Most games here live on other people's sites. Every outbound link opens in a new tab and is set to send no referrer — the game's site isn't even told you came from No Catch Games. Once you're there, that site's own privacy practices apply. I check every listed game for the three guarantees (no logins, no microtransactions, no interrupting ads), but I can't vouch for another site's data practices — if a listed game turns out to do something gross with data, hit the report button on its card.

Patreon

The support link goes to Patreon, a separate company with its own privacy policy. Nothing about your Patreon account flows back to this site.

What I will never do

Changes and questions

If any of this ever changes, I'll update this page and the date at the top — and the change will be visible in the site's public behavior, not buried in fine print. Questions or concerns? Use the report button on any game card, or reach me through Patreon.
